What I’ve been up to
Hi, I’m Carley! I’m a freelance editor and writer based in Northeast Ohio. I specialize in creating SEO-optimized health and wellness content. My work has appeared in publications like Health, SELF, Healthline, Greatist, Mattress Nerd, and PureWow. I also have experience creating customized SEO content—including informational blogs, website copy, and product descriptions—for various health and wellness brands.
Prior to freelancing, I was a demand editor at Greatist — a millennial health and wellness sister site of Healthline Media. While at Greatist, I produced content that consistently ranked on SERP and helped develop the women's health vertical and sleep hub.
Prior to joining the health and wellness world, I ran a handful of business-to-business automotive publications and traveled across the globe reporting on the tire industry. When I’m not editing or writing, you’ll find me hiking, running, and working on endless house projects.
My education
I have a Bachelor of Science degree in journalism and a minor in creative writing from Kent State University in Kent, Ohio. While at Kent State, I served as editor of the student-run news site KentWired and interned at the Chautauquan Daily in Chautauqua, New York.
